Channel i USA is the United States operation of the Channel i network. It is run from New York by Impress Telefilm Inc., and it exists to serve the Bangladeshi-American community and the businesses that want to reach it.
Channel i USA is dedicated to connecting the Bangladeshi diaspora with their roots. The work falls into three parts: cultural preservation, business networking and community engagement.
In practice that means covering Bangladeshi-American business and community life on video and in writing, carrying that coverage across Channel i television and the network’s digital platforms, and giving American businesses a credible route to a diaspora audience that already watches the network.
This website is the business face of that work. It is not a news portal, and it does not carry the Dhaka news feed.
Impress Telefilm Inc. is the United States legal operator of Channel i USA. It is a domestic business corporation formed under section 402 of the New York Business Corporation Law, incorporated on 13 August 2008, with its office located in New York County.
Impress Telefilm Inc. is responsible for this website, for the Channel i USA output produced in the United States, and for every advertising and partnership agreement entered into here. Payments for U.S. advertising are made to Impress Telefilm Inc.
Channel i began broadcasting on 1 October 1999 as the first satellite television channel in Bangladesh. The network, Channel i Online and the iScreen streaming service are operated from Dhaka by Impress Telefilm Ltd.
Impress Telefilm Inc. and Impress Telefilm Ltd. are distinct companies in distinct jurisdictions. Channel i USA carries the network’s brand and works with its programming, but this website, its content and its commercial agreements are the responsibility of Impress Telefilm Inc. in New York.
